The Muslim as Monster: Re-Defining ‘Muslimness’ Beyond False Binaries

I would love for this to get more traction in Muslim spaces as it describes the mechanics of hate in relation to Islamophobia. I feel understanding how Islamophobia is constructed can help us to declutter our thinking and have a better relationship with our faith, in sha Allah.

I write regularly on issues relating to Islamic identity and parenting. This is one of the pieces I wrote, and published on Amaliah. I would love for this to get more traction in Muslim spaces as it describes the mechanics of hate in relation to Islamophobia. I feel understanding how Islamophobia is constructed can help us to declutter our thinking and have a better relationship with our faith, in sha Allah. I have a number of other pieces on Amaliah, Islam21c, Muslim Matters and Muslim Mamas which I would be happy to share with Narrative House
