What Makes us Different

Surveying the Roadblocks

So in 2022 we launched a research survey to see what was preventing Muslims from engaging in creating books, films, movies, documentaries, and games. The research revealed some common sense conclusions. There is no shortage of stories and ideas in our global creative ummah. In fact, we have an abundance of professional creative talent within the Ummah but no funding to create stories that will shape the hearts and minds of our future generations.

Many of them are either being turned away from Islam or weakening in its understanding or practice because of a barrage of competing narratives that go against our Muslim values. We looked around and wondered why there were hardly any stories that spoke to our beliefs and values.
