For the past few years I’ve been documenting lifes of Muslim of South India in general and Malabar, a coastal region at Southern part of India’s western coast, in particular. Origin of Malabar muslim started from early maritime interrelation of natives of the place with Arabs. It’s a such an good experience to capture the culturally and aesthetically unique muslim everyday and to be with the spaces where they engage both communally and individually. Today, It also serves a political function to document muslim struggles against Islamophobia perpetrated by Hindu nationalists.
