Solar Plate Etching of an image I took in Highgate Wood, London. The solar plate is exposed to the image with UV light and once hardened, is ready to be inked. A layer of ink is applied, after which it is put under a press with damp paper. Intaglio is a lengthy process, but is one of my favourite forms of printmaking as I enjoy the process as much as the results.
