I am sharing an except from my novel, ‘One’. It is a story about identity, trauma and redemption. This is a speculative fiction piece There are two main points of view: a young girl who has been abused and lives behind a wall in a future world with water scarcity. She meets a mysterious woman who she called ‘You’ who has amnesia and who later finds out how dark her past is. This leads to a down spiral of despair for her and finally she is faced with a true test of her sincerity is changing her ways.
