This is an original spoken word poem that ties the sacrifice of a believing woman to her motherhood and her pious predecessors. It highlights the importance of motherhood and the honor bestowed by Allah upon mothers. It also focuses on a deep yearning for Allah, hence the title “Quest for sacrifice”. This poem speaks of the pious women that lived in the time of various Prophets and emphasizes the sacrifices they made in order to find Allah. The poet, like all Muslims seeks to find a path where she must sacrifice something for the sake of Allah to attain Paradise.
